The Middle Becomes Eclectic II CLOSING RECEPTION

Sunday, January 11, 2026—1-3pm

Artist Panel Discussion at 1:30pm

Panel Participants: Jon Huck, Julia Curran, Kim Kyne Cohen, Marina Claire, and Mary Lai Moderator: Camilla Taylor

Please join us for the Closing Reception of The Middle Becomes Eclectic II: our second-annual LA-made small works salon—a large-scale exhibition within an intimate space—of forty Los Angeles area artists. This off-beat exhibition supports accessible art-collecting and reflects and celebrates the current pulse of the art being made in LA. ALSO join us from 1:30-2:15 for a closing day discussion moderated by guest curator Camilla Taylor.

In addition to our Closing Reception and Artist Panel for The Middle Becomes Eclectic II on 1.11, we will host a show in our project space to benefit a member of our community who lost her beloved Altadena home one year ago in the catastrophic Eaton Fire. On the week of this anniversary, we exhibit Deb Smith’s architectural photographs in tandem with the closing of our community-centered exhibition of 40 LA artists’ work made in 2025 and curated by Camilla Taylor, who also lost their Altadena home and studio in the Eaton Fire.

Deb lost her beautiful mid-century modern home that she and her wife painstakingly remodeled over their 31 years there. After they bought their home in 1994, the couple’s shared interest in mid-century modern architecture rose to new levels of appreciation, restoration and preservation. Deb has been taking photos her entire life, focusing on architecture over the last 25 years.

Join us for this special event on 1.11 from 12-3pm to view and collect Deb Smith’s architectural photographs during our one day only flash sale—with 100% of all sales going directly to the artist.
